Course Description This course is designed for individuals who work in or are planning to work in a Windows Server environment, or for individuals seeking Microsoft certification. This course will focus on Windows Server in an enterprise environment including: Installing and configuring Windows Server, Roles and features, Active Directory, DNS and DHCP, Hyper-V virtualization, File and print services. This course will prepare students who are seeking Microsoft certification to write exam 70-410 Installing and Configuring Windows Server 2012. Through the introduction of Active Directory Services in the Windows Server 2012 environment, this course will also help students prepare for Microsoft exams " 70-411 Administering Windows Server 2012 and 70-412 - Configuring Advanced Windows Server 2012 Services. Successful completion of all three of the Microsoft Exams mentioned above will earn you the Microsoft Certified Solutions Association (MCSA) Designation.

Computer Software Requirements
Additional MAC users supported in course; however, practical lab work required a function copy of Windows Server, which can be run as a virtual machine on most Mac hardware. Students should acquire an evaluation copy of Windows Server 2012 R2 that may be obtained from the Microsoft web site. This software may be installed on bare hardware, or as a virtual machine using a Hypervisor such as Hyper-V, VMware Workstation Player, or Oracle VirtualBox. Alternatively, the student may wish to run their lab in a cloud-based solution, such as Microsoft Azure. Some virtualization offerings may have an associated cost. It is the student's responsibility to fully understand and pay these licence/hosting costs if applicable. These costs are NOT included with the course.
