Specific communication skills are required throughout the progressive stages of dementia. Dementia-specific approaches to communication, problem solving and the importance of cueing are reviewed. Working in multi-disciplinary teams, with families, and interagency partners to effect change and ensure quality programming for clients living with dementia are explored. |
